What was your very first job?
My first job was as a local summer camp counselor at 14. I grew up in a small town in the desert in Israel where everyone knew each other. We spent most of our time with campers at the only pool in town playing games in the water. It was the perfect job for me as someone who likes to bring people together and not only support their work but ensure they’re having fun and enjoying the ride.
How did you get into your current job or field?
I was lucky to be identified in the Israeli military to serve in a soldier trainer role. I was selected because the Israeli forces identified that I’m a people person who enjoys supporting and caring for others, and my job was to enable and train soldiers from junior levels to high-ranking commanders.
After finishing military service and studying and traveling for a year, I was introduced to the Head of HR at Mercury Interactive, who became one of my best friends. I took on a temp HR role that eventually converted to perm, and the rest is history!
What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?
Not many people would believe that I’m actually very shy! I enjoy bringing people together and supporting from behind the scenes and sometimes shy away from the spotlight. I also played the flute and clarinet for ten years overall and was part of an orchestra, and I traveled to Europe for performances as part of a folk dance team. Last fun fact: my honeymoon was a year-long trip around the world which I obviously highly recommend as a ‘best practice’!
What is your favorite activity or hobby that you enjoy outside of work?
I was always curious about humanity which has fueled my love of international travel. My family is my everything so traveling with them is a treat. I also enjoy feeding people and cooking a variety of dishes (I don’t like to repeat recipes!). I have been doing yoga and taking daily evening beach walks since moving to Southern California.
What is your best memory or favorite thing about working at Codefresh?
The reason I joined Codefresh was to help build a company with a true employee-first mentality and partner with a people-person like Raziel (Codefresh’s CEO). Along the way, we have built a people-first leadership, and I couldn’t ask for better partners to build this company with, including my team and every single Codefresher.
In our field, we make a real impact on people’s lives, and it’s beyond important to me to work at a place where we are human, caring, and always listening. I put people front and center in both my life and in my profession, and I’m proud to bring that mindset to Codefresh.
