Containers #101: Containers and OpenStack

1 min read

At the last Containers #101 Meetup, the founder and CTO of  Kumulus Technologies, Robert Starmer, joined us to provide an overview of container technology as it relates to OpenStack. He discussed the advantages of using OpenStack and containers together (running containers on OpenStack and managing an OpenStack environment with containers).

We also had Alex Toombs, Software Engineer at Apcera,  provide an engineer’s perspective on integration with the Docker Registry API. During his talk, he dove into the structure of Docker’s image format and registry API, as well as the challenges engineers and developers face with Docker image pull.

Check out the recordings and slides from their talks below.
