Head of DevOps – Be’er Yaakov, Israel
What was your very first job?
My first job was as an Assistant in a law firm when I was 16 years old. I worked during school breaks, and my main responsibility was to move all of their contact info online. This job really helped me to understand the value of work.
How did you get into your current job or field?
My first exposure to the DevOps field was during my army service in Mamram as a part of the operation team. After finishing my B.Sc in Computer science, I decided to combine operations and development. I started my first position at Payoneer as a DevOps Engineer and Team Leader and stayed for over six years.
What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?
My nickname is Bach (like the composer); it actually started during my days in the army. Most of my friends still call me Bach to this day!
What is your favorite activity or hobby that you enjoy outside of work?
In the last year, I started working out, and it’s become my new hobby. I also really love to travel and enjoy hanging out with my 3 and 4-year-old kids. It’s so fun to take them to new places and see their reactions. I can’t wait to travel with them outside the country!
